Ok so I had my Dr's appointment yesterday and I know a few of you where interested in how it went. It pretty much went as I thought he told me the problems with my eye is from inflammation, sort of like what you get in your knees and joints & they don't really know why it happens. He was very blunt and matter of fact about it saying there's really nothing to be done, soon as he said this I started to shake and cry, and asked if i should even keep wasting our time by coming in, His attitude immediately changed, he sat down and started to actually talk to me and not just at me. i mean I know it's coming, it was just hearing him saying it so coldly that got me upset.

He said each time i have a flare up it can be treated with a steroid injection to the eye or with steroid drop, they will help but each time I will lose a little more sight. He said until I stared needing these on a more frequent he wouldn't even consider other treatments because these have some server side effects. He told me not to stop coming in, to come in anytime I have a problem and he'll do what ever is needed to help. Which made me feel a little better.

The injection has helped some, i'm still a little blurry, as stated there will be a lose, but I don't have the sharp stabbing, searing pain when i'm in light, and i'm not feeling the constant urge to throw up when i look at something or move my eyes to quickly when looking at something. so YAY for the most part.

Now to my future on FFXI, i'm not saying I won't return, but for the next few weeks I will not be on, i'm going rest my eyes, enjoy my summer and company i'll be having and judge my eye's as i go. If i come back great if not Tork will be done away with. I love you all, I love the game and i've come back after every problem i've had, but i'm getting to the point that i need to get out and do & enjoy while I can and not just have a bunch of regret.

Understandable, do what you need to do. If and when you return you'll have no trouble picking up where you left off. Enjoy life, and the summer my friend.

Wow, well even though you were expecting the outcome somewhat, still hard to hear. It's very good that he did tell you come in anytime you wish and he'll do what he can. I think you are 100% of the right mind to get out there, do what you can and enjoy while you can; Hopefully the progression will not be rapid. As much as we'll miss you, you can always pop on here whenever and drop a hello, which will probably be much better for your eye! Definitely do keep in touch, please Tork!

Hey Tork, great to hear your not having the pain as much anymore and that your doctor found you a solution to the problem, but you're totally right at what your doing, get out and enjoy life! Any time you get bored, your always welcomed back- remember.. its only a game, it'll always be here! Just don't forget to check in on the site every now and then and keep us updated!

It's been a few days and things are looking better for the most part, still no pain or sickness but things are still more blurry, mostly i notice this on my laptop i was using my screen enlargement at 4x times zoom and now i'm at 5x tunes zoom but hey.
