Section VIII focuses on working together to achieve objectives for our members, however our #1 goal is enjoying the game and having fun with each other.
Linkshell Etiquette
You are expected & required to practice respect towards the Linkshell Officers and your fellow Members alike. Any disagreements are to be taken to /tells, not handled through Linkshell or Party chat
You are to discuss any issues you have with an Officer or Officers. If you are upset by something, discuss the issue directly with your Officers. Do not involve other members, or cause or facilitate arguments.
Always conduct yourself appropriately, whether you are participating in an event with your Shellmates or with a Pick-Up Group. Regardless of where you are, your actions are a reflection on your Linkshell
We encourage any questions about rules, or discussion if the rules are unclear to you. If you have a question, ask at an appropriate time.
Always keep in mind that your fellow Shellmates are normal people, with real-life concerns outside the game. We all play for enjoyment, not to pursue things in-game as though it were a second job.
Please understand that the Officers also fall into the category of "'normal people." Mistakes will be made, and the Officers –and everyone else– will be expected to react in a mature and understanding manner.
During events you are requested to keep your suggestions about changing strategies or job setups to yourself. Instead, you are welcome to discuss them after the event has concluded over voice chat, via /tell or /party chat in-game, or by posting on the forums.
Please keep /tells to the event leaders at a minimum during an event. They will be busy organizing and are most probably stressed enough as it is.
Events
Events are generally Attendance Points based, so you will get out what you put in. The schedule of events will change depending on what the majority of the shell is working on. At the present time, we are re-forming the Shell & working on starting up the newer events such as Legion, EInherjar v2, etc. Stay tuned for times that we will be doing those.
No event is mandatory, again you will get out what you put in. All events except Limbus farming are scheduled on the forum. If you want to attend an event, we strongly suggest you sign-up on forum. If there are more than 18 sign-ups the first 18 are guaranteed a spot and the remainder go on reserves. If you sign-up, you are expected to show up. If you cannot make it please notify the event organizer. Sign-ups from people that are habitual no shows will be ignored.
Empyrean Weapons
Section VIII does not organize these as a scheduled event. Please form small perma groups to go get these done if you want one. They are best done with a group of 6 anyway.
Recruitment
All recruits are subject to a 2 week trial period. Please note that any Shell Officer reserves the right to take action in that 2 week period if necessary, up to and including removing said recruit from the shell.
